　　香港报业公会每年举办「香港最佳新闻奖」，评选年度优质新闻作品，表彰优秀的新闻从业员，鼓励他们在这个充满机遇与挑战的年代中，坚守公正持平、客观求真的信念，并发挥专业精神服务社会。

　　谨在此多谢业界和社会人士的支持与参与，并祝贺各位得奖同业。希望大家精益求精，继续履行新闻工作这神圣的使命。

    　　In this age of information explosion, the media industry is facing ever-changing challenges at a time of intensifying competition and diversifying developments.

    　　The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong holds the Hong Kong News Awards annually to recognize quality works of journalism and outstanding journalists. Our aim is to encourage practitioners to serve Hong Kong professionally with balanced and objective news reports.
